8.9 Adding a background color to copies (“Background
Color” function)
This function allows you to copy a document using one of the 18 colors avail-
able as the color of the background (blank areas).

For sample images of the “Background Color” function, refer to ““Back-
ground Color” function” on page x-44.
To copy using the “Background Color” function
1 Position the document to be copied.
– For details on positioning the document, refer to “Feeding the doc-
ument” on page 3-9.
2 Touch [Application], and then touch [Edit Color].
– To cancel all settings for the Application functions, touch [Reset].
The Edit Color screen appears.
