To select the setting for used paper
Paper that has already been printed on one side is called used paper.
When printing on used paper, touch [Duplex 2nd-Side] to reduce image qual-
ity loss.
In addition, a paper tray set to “Duplex 2nd-Side” will be given priority when
the paper is selected automatically.
The following procedure describes how to specify the setting for paper al-
ready printed on one side and loaded into the 1st tray.
1 In the Basic screen, touch [Paper].
The Paper screen appears.
2 Touch the button for the 1st tray.
– For details on loading the paper into the 1st tray, refer to “Loading
paper into the 1st tray” on page 2-45.
– To specify a setting for special paper for the bypass tray, touch the
button for the bypass tray. For details on loading the paper into the
bypass tray, refer to “Loading paper into the bypass tray” on
page 2-56.
