Fusing Modes
Warm-up Mode
The machine enters the warm-up mode after the machine turned on. Turning the machine power on
lights the fusing lamp which raises the heat in the fusing unit to the Reload Temperature. After the
fusing unit has warmed up, the fusing motor rotates for a prescribed time to maintain the target Reload
Temperature.
Standby Mode
Within the prescribed time after the machine has reached Reload Temperature, electrical power to the
fusing lamp is switched off, and then the fusing motor switches off.
Then the fusing lamp will intermittently switch on and off in order to maintain the target Standby
Temperature. In Standby Mode the fusing motor is also switched ON/OFF intermittently.
Ready Mode
When returning from Standby Mode, the machine switches on the fusing lamp until the fusing
temperature is raised to the target Ready Temperature.
If there is no print job request issued within the prescribed time, the machine will drop down again into
Standby Mode. If the machine sends a print job request in the Standby Mode, the fusing lamp switches
on until the fusing unit reaches the target Reload Temperature, and then the job starts.
