Glu/Lac sensors measure glucose and lactate.

Glucose sensor Glucose oxidizes to form gluconolacton using atmospheric oxygen and the glucose-
oxidase enzyme. The generated H

is determined amperometrically by using the
manganese dioxide/carbon electrode at 350 mV.
Lactate sensor Lactate oxidizes to form pyruvate using the lactate-oxidase enzyme. The generated
