Serial Port Access Levels
The available serial port commands are listed in Table 6.4 on page 6.8. Some
commands are not available at Access Level 1 for security reasons. All commands are
available at Access Level 2.
Access Level 1
Access Level 1 is the lowest access level. The relay serial ports are initially in
Access Level 1 when you energize the relay. If left in Access Level 2, serial ports
automatically return to Access Level 1 after a settable inactivity period. When the relay
is in Access Level 1, the relay sends the following prompt when you press <ENTER>
or after a command response is finished:
=>
The Access Level 1 commands primarily allow the user to look at information
(such as settings and metering) but not to change it.
Access Level 2
The Access Level 2 commands primarily allow the user to change relay settings,
reset data buffers, and control relay outputs. If left in Access Level 2, serial ports
automatically return to Access Level 1 after a settable inactivity period. All Access
Level 1 commands are also available in Access Level 2.
When the relay is in Access Level 2, the relay sends the following prompt when
you press <ENTER> or after a command response is finished:
