Installation and administration of Plug PC for HiPath 3000 Remote Access Appliance
12.2.4.4 Upgrade of the Plug PC
Before starting you must upgrade your Plug PC to the latest available version of software.
Procedure
1. In the menu on the left hand side, click Administration > Maintenance. The "Mainte-
nance" window opens.
2. In the "Update the Smart Services software" section, click Browse, go to the location of
the Plug PC software file (must be a *.bin file), and click Upload. After a while you will be
asked if you want to upgrade to the new version.
3. Click OK to confirm. The End User License Agreement (EULA) is displayed.
4. Read and click OK to accept the End User License Agreement (EULA). Now you will get
the message that the upgrade will take approx. 2 minutes.
5. Confirm again by clicking OK. The update installation starts.
6. After installation, a message opens which informs that the update was successful. Click
OK to confirm it.
12.2.5 Configuration of the Plug PC
After updating the Plug PC you can configure your network settings also via the Smart Services
Assistant.
Procedure
1. Click Plug Computer > Network. The "Network" window opens which comprises the "IP
Address" section. In the "Setup" options field, the "DHCP Client" and "Static" options are
available.
2. Choose "Static" to use a static IP address. The "Static" section opens which contains the
"IP Address", "Subnet Mask", and "Default Gateway" input fields.
3. Enter the data into the input fields.
4. Click Save.
