Programming the control
6.1 Machine and setting data
The control is matched to the machine by means of machine and setting data.
The machine data (MD) is classified as follows:
S General machine data
S Channel-specific machine data
S Axis-specific machine data
S Display machine data (machine data for front control panel)
S Machine data for feed drive
S Machine data for main spindle drive
The setting data (SD) is classified as follows:
S General setting data
S Channel-specific data
S Axis-specific setting data
Used to enable options. Option data is supplied with the specific option.
The machine and setting data is divided into the following areas:
