HYDRAULIC UNITSHST PUMP
Once directed to chamber (4), the pilot pressure
moves control cylinder (3) to the left. Since swash
plate (1) is connected by piston (2) to control cylin-
der (3), the mechanism tilts to match the degree of
stroke for control cylinder (3), and the pump begins
to exhaust.
Thus the pumping capacity of the pump may be con-
trolled by the pilot pressure to control the speed of
the travel motor in smooth gradations and without
the switching of gears.
