4. Remove the snap ring (4) and the oil seal (5)
from the flange (1).
• Use a (–) screw driver to remove the oil seal.
• Be careful not to scratch or otherwise damage
the flange.
• When reassembling, install the oil seal using
the jigs A and B.
5. Remove the rear cover (6).
6. Remove the seal (2) and the backup ring (3)
from the cover (6).
7. Remove the bushings (8), the drive gear (9) and
the driven gear (10) from the housing.
• Be careful to keep the bushings separated and
in their original places.
