4.8.7. “Commutation cycles/rev” (AC brushless motors only)
Parameter x43 is used to configure the UNIDEX 511 for the number of electrical cycles
per motor revolution of the feedback device. The value of this parameter, in conjunction
with the value of axis parameter x44 (“Feedback steps/rev” [x 4]), is used to generate the
proper sinusoidal phase currents. Refer to Table 4-48.

Setting this value to 0 for an AC brushless servo motor with encoder feedback will
result in six step commutation.
This parameter has a range from 0 to 65,536 with a default value of 4. Sample
commutation factors are shown above in Table 4-48.
Improper configuration will cause a "trap" when a move is commanded.
This parameter should be set to 1 for linear motors.
