4.3.2 VM Converter installation failed
Symptom : Error message : language not supported
Solution : The VM support Windows™ 7 32bits, Office 2010 pro EN 32bits : check the Technical Release of
the version to verify that your OS and office DVD is supported.
The DVD and product key needs to be purchased out of Alcatel-Lucent.
4.3.3 VM Converter on external server does not work
Symptom : VM Converter on external server does not work
Solution : the external server is not in the DNS
4.3.4 DCS on external server : the “Play” button is never enabled
Symptom : documents for end users never get ready (the “Play” button is never enabled).
Diagnosis : DCS is in a windows domain
Solution : DCS has to be reinstalled in a different machine that is not in a Windows domain
5. DNS DHCP Time OS Language
5.1 Change the DNS local to external DNS
Unless the DNS is used in the OXE virtual machine, there is no need to change it. So we only have to change
the DNS settings in host and WIN virtual machine :
Connect to the WIN virtual machine, and change the DNS server
Connect to the server and change the
/etc/resolv.conf
file
5.1.1 FQDN Precaution
Characters : Supports RFC 1123, which permits "A" to "Z", "a" to "z", "0" to "9", and the hyphen (-).
5.1.2 How to change DNS server on Open Touch
The script to change IP address of gateway, subnet and DNS but you must never change the hostname of
OTBE ( Must remain the same as before) : /usr/bin/setIPAddress.sh
Fully qualified domain name length : 63 bytes per label and 255 bytes for an FQDN
The FQDN for an Active Directory domain name is limited to 64 bytes.
Don’t use ice or opentouch inside the FQDN
5.1.3 Local DNS configuration

5.1.3.1 DNS forwarding
DNS forwarding can be configured by at OT installation or rehosting.
DNS server in OT does not send DNS queries to DNS forwarders if the domain of the query
corresponds to the domain of OpenTouch. Queries to names supported by OT (OXE, 8770) will be
resolved, but not others names in the domains in the network because, in this configuration, only OT
definition of domain is interrogated.
Then, it is mandatory to configure OT with a different domain to than those accessible by DNS
forwarders.
