Chapter 2 Catalyst 3550 Switch Cisco IOS Commands

show mac address-table static

Use the show mac address-table static user EXEC command to display static MAC address table

entries only.

show mac address-table static [[address mac-address [interface interface-id | vlan vlan-id]] |

[interface interface-id [vlan vlan-id]] | vlan vlan-id] [ | {begin | exclude | include} expression]

Note Beginning with Cisco IOS Release 12.1(11)EA1, the show mac address-table static command replaces

the show mac-address-table static command (with the hyphen).

Usage Guidelines Expressions are case sensitive. For example, if you enter | exclude output, the lines that contain output

do not appear, but the lines that contain Output appear.

address mac-address (Optional) Specify a 48-bit MAC address; the valid format is H.H.H.

interface interface-id (Optional) Specify an interface to match; valid interfaces include physical

ports and port channels.

vlan vlan-id (Optional) Display addresses for a specific VLAN. The range is 1 to 4094.

| begin (Optional) Display begins with the line that matches the expression.

| exclude (Optional) Display excludes lines that match the expression.

| include (Optional) Display includes lines that match the specified expression.

expression Expression in the output to use as a reference point.
