Chapter 21 V-Link Module*

21.1 Overview
A V-Link module connected with an external device can transmit information and alarms from a
connected external device to monitor. The users can read, store and review data on the monitor.
The external device may show more information than what is available on the monitor. The
V-Link data (except NMT data) from external device supports HL7 protocol.
The supported external devices include:
NMT (neuromuscular transmission) TOF-Watch SX
Heinen Löwenstein (hereafter called H&L) LeoniPlus Ventilator
LeonPlus Anesthetic device
Leon Anesthetic device
Maquet Ventilator SERVO-U, SERVO-n, SERVO-air, SERVO-i
or SERVO-s
21.2 Safety Information
WARNING
1 User should set the monitor and connect the patient as user manual mentioned.
2 The external device is provided by another manufacturer to measure parameter. If
you have any question on operation and maintenance of the external device, please
contact the external device manufacturer. EDAN only provides the monitor to
connect with the external device.
