Figure 48 is an example of a network with multiple STPDs that can benefit from RSTP. For RSTP to
work, you need to do the following:
● Create an STPD.
● Configure the mode of operation for the STPD.
● Create the VLANs and assign the VLANid and the VLAN ports.
● Assign the carrier VLAN.
● Add the protected VLANs to the STPD.
● Configure the port link types.
● Enable STP.
