Verifying the IPv4 Unicast Routing Configuration
Use the show iproute command to display the current configuration of IP unicast routing for the
switch and for each VLAN. The
show iproute command displays the currently configured routes and
includes how each route was learned.
Additional verification commands include:
● show iparp—Displays the IP ARP table of the system.
● show ipconfig—Displays configuration information for one or more VLANs.
Routing Configuration Example
Figure 61 illustrates a BlackDiamond switch that has three VLANs defined as follows:
● Finance
■ All ports on slots 1 and 3 have been assigned.
■ IP address 192.207.35.1.
● Personnel
■ Protocol-sensitive VLAN using the IP protocol.
■ All ports on slots 2 and 4 have been assigned.
■ IP address 192.207.36.1.
● MyCompany
■ Port-based VLAN.
■ All ports on slots 1 through 4 have been assigned.
