3.) Program the System Serial number and re-enter the Permanent Key
To program the System SNO, click the OPTIONS
tab:
a.) Enter the "Serial key" (alphanumeric letters based on system serial number and RFS Hardware
ID) in the field "Serial Number" (e.g., AEE1193428AA6078123456SU7). Then press ENTER. it
takes about several seconds to get response.
b.) Enter the "Permanent Key" in the field Permanent key, click the SUBMIT
button and afterwards
SAVE & EXIT

Confirm the Message box "BT-key state has been changed." with YES. The system reboots.
4.) Check System Serial number, System Type, Hardware ID and Software options
a.) Press the F2
key on upper OPIO, select SYSTEM SETUP, select ADMINISTRATION and then
select the OPTION
tab.
System Type must be correct depending on Voluson® P8 / Voluson® P6 and Voluson® P8 / Voluson®
P6.
Software options and serial number must be correct.
5.) Perform: FRU8-29 Replacement of the RFS - Functional Tests..

If the previous mentioned steps was done correctly, the system will show the correct SNO and the prior
installed options are enabled in the OPTIONS
page.

DO NOT reboot the system before you have changed the serial number successfully!
