1•14 Quick Guide
Example 2
3. If you select the ORGAN group button, Preset n. 1 of the top row activates
automatically, recalling the Single Preset “Organ 1”.
4. Now press button 4 and you recall the Single Preset “Church”.
Repeat the operations to select the other Presets, choosing the group names
from the set above the buttons (piano, mallet, organ, etc.).
The last Preset button selected for the current Preset Group remains memo-
rized. For example, if you select the Piano Group button (as in the example
explained above), Preset 3 (Piano 3) will be recalled. If you now select the
Organ Group button, you will recall the Church Preset (button 4).
This system of memorizing the last selection made will help you recall your
preferred Presets quickly.
Example 3 (the A/B selector button)
5. Press the A/B selector button.
The LED of selector B will start to flash.
6. Now press one of the Group buttons, this time choosing one of the names
silkscreened below the buttons.
For example, if you press the button marked REED, Preset 1 (“Soprano
Sax”) will be recalled automatically for the Upper 1 section and the LED of
the B selector will turn on (LED A will turn off).
7. Continue your selections, this time choosing from the lower set of group
names (reed, pipe, syn lead, etc.).
To return to the A set of group names, press the A/B selector button and
choose one of the group names from the top set (piano, mallet, organ, etc.).
Assigning different sounds to the keyboard sections
All the selections you have made so far have recalled factory-set sound combi-
nations. If you wish to change the sound assigned to one of the keyboard
sections, you must enter the edit of the section. Once edited, you can store
your changes either to the User Presets of the Sound Groups section, or the
Programmable Presets.
Section Editing is fully explained in the Programmable Presets chapter of the
User Guide.
B LED flashing
IMPORTANT
When you press the A/B Selector button to
switch from bank set A to bank set B (or vice
versa), the LED currently shown off will flash
for about 3 seconds, during which time you
must make your bank selection. If the LED
stops flashing, it will not be possible to switch
bank set.
