Digital Signal Processor 2•47
Ch. 7 • Digital Signal Processor
PS1000 allows you to route the Presets to the on-board multi-effects processor
which enhances the overall sound.
The Digital Signal Processor section consists of two units which process the
Presets with Reverbs and Delay/Modulation effects. Each processor has an
effect Send control to independently regulate the level (volume) of the effect for
each track of the current Preset.
The REVERB and CHORUS buttons are found in the group of buttons on the
right of the control panel.
REVERB
When the REVERB DSP is active (display indicator on), the current Preset is
processed by the assigned Reverb type. The overall ‘wet sound (processed)
can be heard through the headphones and is delivered from the stereo Left and
Right outputs.
When the REVERB DSP is deactivated (display indicator off), the Preset is not
processed by the assigned Reverb type and the sounds are therefore delivered
‘dry’.
Note: The Grand Piano Preset is not processed by the Reverb effect. When
you select and play the Grand Piano Preset, pressing the REVERB button to
activate the relative processor (display indicator on) does not add Reverb to the
Preset.
CHORUS
When the CHORUS DSP is active (display indicator on), the current Preset is
processed by the assigned modulating effect type. The overall ‘wet sound (proc-
essed) can be heard through the headphones and is delivered from the stereo
Left and Right outputs.
When the CHORUS DSP is deactivated (display indicator off), the Preset is not
processed by the assigned Chorus type and the sounds are therefore delivered
‘dry’.
Note: although you can add the Chorus effect and assign any of chorus effect
types to the Grand Piano Preset, you will not be able to memorize the effect
changes to the same Preset.
Assigning the effect types
Regardless of the current mode (Style/Real Time, Song Style, Song mode), the
method used to select and assign the effects to the current Preset is the same.
For the Reverb effects
1.Hold down the REVERB button to gain access to the Reverb DSP.
Note: The CHORUS processor contains
modulations and various delay/echo effects.
Also present is the ROTARY effect which can
be changed from SLOW to FAST and vice
versa, using the ENTER and ESCAPE buttons.
