Hard Disk 2•65
Load from Hard Disk partition
Hard Disk Partition data can be loaded into the PS1300 RAM memory using
one of the following methods:
as single elements (Load Song, Load Style, Load Midi File);
as a set of files corresponding to Groups (Load Styles, Load Presets (Prog.
Presets + User Sound Presets], Load Samples);
all the data contained in a partition previously loaded with the ALL proce-
dure.
Load procedure
1. Press the DISK button.
If a Floppy Disk is already inserted in the Drive, press the DISK button a
second time to override the floppy and enter the Hard Disk
.
The Hd symbol will appear in the Tempo display area (as an indicator that
you are working with the Hard Disk and not with floppy disks), and the name
and number of the first partition available on Hard Disk will be displayed.
2. Use the OCTAVE +/– buttons to scroll through the Hard disk partitions in
numerical order.
The [+] button selects partitions in increasing numerical order, while the [–]
button selects them in decreasing numerical order.
You can also use the TEMPO/DATA / buttons to scroll the partitions in
alphabetical order.
3. Once selected, press ENTER to gain access to the files contained in the
partition.
The right display arrowhead is shown next to the LOAD function and the
first file contained in the partition is shown (in our example, a Song).
4. Select the desired file type using the TEMPO/DATA / buttons or the
Octave +/– buttons.
The Tempo/Data buttons select single elements (Song, Style, Midi File) as
well as the Preset and Sample file types from the Hard Disk partition.
5. To load all the User Styles as a group, press the PAGE button to select
the STYLES file type.
Note: The PS, WK and PK Songs and
MidiFiles can be played directly from Hard disk
partition without loading the data to memory
beforehand.
Note : If, at this point, you press PLAY/STOP,
START/STOP or PLAY ALL SONGS, the Song/
MidiFile (or Songs/Midi Files) will start to play
directly from the hard disk partition.
