2•14 User Guide
The PS1000 sets to Style mode with the left display arrow pointing to the
STYLE Menu function.
3. Select a Style from the current Group by pressing one of the buttons
numbered 1 - 8.
In this example we select Style 03 8BeatHit (button n. 4 of the 8 Beat Group).
Recall a Style by selecting the Programmable Presets
The PS1000 leaves the factory with each of the first 10 Programmable Presets
programmed to recall a different Style and Variation. The remaining 53 Presets
recall the same Style and Variation, but you can program the Prog. Presets to
recall your preferred Styles.
Recalling Styles by selecting the Prog. Presets depends on the status of the
STYLE LOCK function. This function allows you to select Prog. Presets with-
out changing the current Style. The Style Lock function is governed by the
STYLE/TEMPO LOCK button. See “The Style/Tempo Lock button” on page
2.20.
If STYLE LOCK is active (corresponding display indicator on), you can pass
from one Preset to another without changing the Style.
If STYLE LOCK is off, selecting Prog. Presets recalls the memorized Style,
Variation and Tempo setting.
In this example, we recall the Styles using the Prog. Presets with Style Lock
Off.
1. If STYLE LOCK is on, turn it off.
When Style Lock is on, the display shows the relative indicator in the bottom
right hand corner. If the function is on, press the Style Lock/Tempo Lock
button (located to the left of the Single Touch Play button) to deactivate the
function.
2. Press the PRESET RECALL button to enter Preset mode and select a
Prog. Preset using the method described in the Presets chapter.
When you select a Prog. Preset to recall a Style, the SINGLE TOUCH PLAY
function will automatically deactivate and the PS1000 will set according to
the memorized situation in the selected Preset.
If TEMPO LOCK is off, selecting the Preset also changes the Tempo.
The Style Lock/Tempo Lock button is explained in detail further ahead in
this chapter.
Note: In the Appendix on page A.3, you’ll find
a Style Table listing the ROM Styles available
for each Group.
Note: If you hold down this button for about 2
seconds, you will activate the TEMPO LOCK
function.
