Digital axes:
For digital axes, the maximum feed rate also depends on the number of pole
pairs in the drive motor and the pitch of the ballscrew.
Analog axes:

Position loop
resolution
The encoder signals are interpolated 1024-fold.
Analog axes The TNC outputs a voltage per position error. The 10-V analog voltage is
subdivided 65536-fold with a 16-bit D/A converter. This results in a smallest
voltage step of 0.15 mV.
Rapid traverse (MP1010.x) is attained at a certain voltage (MP1050.x). This
results in the voltage ∆U per position error or following error s
a
:
If ∆U is divided by the smallest possible voltage step (0.15 mV), the result is
the number n of the possible voltage steps per position error.
