7.7.22 OR NOT (ON)
Logic processing
with the OR NOT
command
Syntax: ON (OR NOT)
Operands: M, I, O, T, C
Action:
n At the beginning of a logic sequence, this command functions like an LN
command, i.e., the complement of the operand is loaded into the logic
accumulator. However, you should always begin a sequence of logical
gating operations with a load command (see L, LN, L).
n Within a logic sequence, gate the content of the logic accumulator and the
logical state of the operand with OR NOT. The TNC saves the result of the
operation in the logic accumulator.
Example:
Gate the inputs I4 and I5 with OR NOT, and assign the result to output O2.
Initial state:
Input I4 = 0
Input I5 = 0
Output O2 = ?
Function STL Accumulator contents [bit] Operand contents [bit]
31..15 ..................... 7 ................. 0
Load the operand
content into the logic
accumulator.
L I4 x ..... x xxxxxxx0xxxxxxx 0
Gate the content of
logic accumulator
and input I5 with OR
NOT.
ON I5 x ..... x xxxxxxx1xxxxxxx 0
Assign the gating
result to output O2.
= O2 x ..... x xxxxxxx1xxxxxxx 1
