Switching from spindle to axis:

7 Stop the spindle.

7 Switch to the gear range required for axis operation.

7 Switch the spindle motor to the axis.

7 With Module 9156, switch the axis from the open-loop to the servo-
controlled state.

7 With Module 9161 bit 15, release the current and speed controllers.

7 Release the axis clamping.

7 Close the position control loop of the axis by setting the corresponding bits
in W1040.

7 Begin axis operation.
Switching from axis to spindle:

7 Clamp the axis.

7 Open the position control loop of the axis by resetting the corresponding
bits in W1040.

7 With Module 9155, switch the feedback control for the axis off.

7 Switch the spindle motor from the axis back to the spindle.

7 With Module 9161 bit 15, release the current and speed controllers.

7 Shift back to the original gear range.

7 Begin spindle operation.
Note
Up to NC software 280 476-02, the bit for the spindle must always be
transferred to Modules 9161 and 9162. As of 280 476-03, the bit for the axis
or for the spindle can be given.
