Conguring and Establishing a LAN Connection
Conguring LAN settings
To communicate with the instrument over the LAN, congure the following settings:
[DHCP server]
If [DHCP server] is set to [ON], the instrument will automatically acquire the IP address and
subnet mask.
OFF
Disables the DHCP function.
ON Enables the DHCP function.
[Host name]
Specify the instrument’s hostname.
String of up to 12 single-byte characters (example: LOGGER)
[IP address]
Set the instrument’s IP address.
_._._._ (_: 0 to 255) (example: 192.168.1.2)
[Subnet mask]
_._._._ (_: 0 to 255) (example: 255.255.255.0)
[Port number]
Set the number of the TCP/IP port used by the instrument.
The last digit cannot be set as it is used by the instrument’s rmware.
____ (_: 0 to 9) (example: 880X)
[Gateway]
If [DHCP server] is set to [ON], the gateway will be set automatically.
OFF

[Gateway IP]
If [Gateway] is set to [ON], set the IP address of the device that will serve as the gateway.

[DNS]
Select whether to use DNS.
OFF

[DNS IP]
If [DNS] is set to [ON], set the DNS server’s IP address.
