Starter Isolator Switch
(If equipped)
This switch (36) is used when stopping the flow of electricity to
the starting motor to make it impossible to start the engine.
(a) ON position
Electricity is sent to the electric circuit of the starting motor and
it becomes possible to start the engine.
Before starting the engine, check that this switch is at the ON
position.
(b) OFF position
When the switch is turned counterclockwise from the ON posi-
tion, the flow of electricity to the starting motor is shut off, and it
is impossible to start the engine.
Turn the switch to the OFF position before carrying out opera-
tions that are dangerous if the engine is started, such as lubri-
cation, replacement, or maintenance inside the engine room or
pump room.
