Stopping in Emergencies 3
Operating Engine Emergency Stop Inside Cab
Use this engine emergency stop switch to stop the engine in emergencies.
Normally, keep the engine emergency stop switch at the OFF (normal operation) position.
Press engine emergency stop switch (S) installed inside the
cab and set it to ON (emergency stop) position (a).
q When engine emergency stop switch (S) is set to ON
(emergency stop) position (a), the machine changes to the
condition given below.
q If engine emergency stop switch (S) is set to ON
(emergency stop) position (a) while the engine is run-
ning, the engine stops and the machine monitor goes
out.
q Even when the key in the starting switch is turned to
the START position, the engine will not start.
q Even when the key in the starting switch is turned to
the ON position, the machine monitor does not give a
display.
q Indicator lamp (L) lights up green to show that the
engine emergency stop switch is actuated. This indica-
tor lamp (L) lights up regardless of the operation of the
starting switch.
q If the key in the starting switch is turned to the ON position
when engine emergency stop switch (S) is at ON (emer-
gency stop) position (a), engine emergency stop warning
lamp (C) on the console panel to the left of the operator's
seat inside the cab lights up.
When starting the engine again after stopping it, do as follows.
1. Turn the head of engine emergency stop switch (S) to the
right. The switch will spring out slightly and will be reset to
OFF (normal operation) position (b). When doing this,
check set indicator lamp (L) is off.
