Checks Before Starting 3
Always check the items in this section before starting the engine each day.
Check Coolant Level, Add Coolant
q Under normal circumstances, do not open the radiator cap. When checking the cooling water, check
the reservoir tank.
q Immediately after the engine is stopped, the coolant is at high temperature. In addition, pressure has
accumulated inside the radiator. If the cap is opened under these conditions, it will cause burns. Wait
for the temperature to go down, then operate the lever of the reservoir tank to release the pressure.

1. Open cover (1) at the front of the power container on the
right side of the machine.
