HANDLING HYDRAULIC LADDER 3
PROCEDURE FOR OPERATING HYDRAULIC LADDER 3
Before operating the ladder, check that there is no one
inside the operating range of the ladder. There is danger
that anyone inside the operating range may suffer injury
by being hit or caught up by the ladder.
In particular, when stowing the ladder, be careful not to
allow any person to come close to the stowing position.
If the ladder is at the lowered position, the proximity
switch does not detect that the ladder is stowed, so PPC
(hydraulic pilot) lock is applied and it is impossible to
swing or drive the machine, or operate the work equip-
ment.
If this happens, the ladder warning lamp inside the opera-
tor's cab lights up red. For details, see “Ladder Warning
Lamp (3-99)“.
This lock is cancelled when the ladder is stowed.
If the lock is not cancelled even when the ladder is stowed,
see “ACTION WHEN MACHINE DOES NOT MOVE
BECAUSE OF FAILURE IN PROXIMITY SWITCH (3-152)“.
Before operating the ladder, check that there is no obsta-
cle in the ladder operating range. There is danger that if
the ladder hits any obstacle the ladder or the obstacle may
break.
q Ladder operating range (a): Approx. 3 m
q Height (b) of first step of ladder from ground:
38 cm
It is possible to operate the hydraulic ladder using switch box
(1) at the side of the cab.
Check that the lock lever is in the LOCK position.
When the lock lever is in the FREE position, the hydraulic
ladder cannot be operated.
