STOPPING THE ENGINE 3
Normal Stopping 3
If the engine is stopped abruptly, service life of component parts of the engine may be considerably
reduced. Do not stop the engine abruptly except in an emergency. If the engine has overheated, do not try
to stop it abruptly but run it at medium speed to allow it to cool down gradually, and then stop it.
1. Run the engine at low idle for about 5 minutes to cool down
gradually.
It is possible to install a turbo timer on this machine.
Please consult your Komatsu distributor regarding installation
of a turbo timer.
2. Turn the key in starting switch (1) to the OFF position.
3. Remove the key from starting switch (1).
