HANDLING SERVICE CENTER ATTACHMENTS AND OPTIONS
6-18
When Raising Service Arm (Setting to Stowing Position) 6
1. Check the lock lever (1) is at the LOCK position (L). When
lock lever (1) is in FREE position (F), the service arm can-
not be operated.
2. Start the engine. For details of the procedure for starting
the engine, see “STARTING ENGINE (3-189)“.
3. Check that the service center switch (2) is at the FREE
position (F).
4. Keep pulling service arm RAISE switch (4)(Green) at the
rear of the swing circle until the service arm reaches the
automatic stop position.
5. After stowing the service arm, return service center switch
(2) to the LOCK position (L).
NOTICE
When not using the service arm, always set the service to
the switch to the LOCK position.
If it is at the FREE position, it becomes possible to operate
the service arm from the ground, so there is danger that
this may lead to a serious accident.
REMARK
The service arm RAISE operation is possible only when the
engine is started.
If the engine is stopped for a long time, the service arm may go
down under its own weight, but this does not indicate any
abnormality.
If the angle that the service arm has gone down under its own
weight is less than 15°, the service arm will automatically be
reset to the stowing position, so check that there is no one near
the service arm before starting the engine.
If the angle that the service arm has gone down under its own
weight is more than 15°, the service arm is not automatically
reset to the stowing position, so pull the service arm RAISE
switch to stow the service arm.
