5.3 Engine lubrication system
Safety instructions regarding inspections and maintenance work on the engine
Danger!
Do not carry out maintenance work on a hot engine!
Wait at least 10 minutes after stopping the engine
Wear protective gloves and clothing during maintenance work
Important!
Check the oil level every 10 service hours or once a day.
Check before starting the engine.
After switching off a warm engine, wait at least 5 minutes before checking the
oil level.
Checking the engine oil level
Caution!
If the engine oil level is too low or if an oil change is overdue, this can cause
engine damage or loss of output!

Have the oil drained every 500 service hours by an authorised work-
shop
Check the engine oil as follows:
Park the machine on level ground
Stop the engine
Apply the parking brake and open the engine cover
Pull out oil dipstick A and wipe it with a lint-free cloth
Push it in as far as possible, pull it back out again and read off the oil level
Fill up the oil when the oil reaches the MIN mark on oil dipstick A
