Inspection and maintenance work on the electrical system at regular intervals
☞ Daily checks before operating the machine

• Is the light system OK?
• Is the signalling and warning system OK?
• Is the ignition lock in working order?
☞ Weekly checks
• Electric fuses: if defective, use only the specified load capacity (amperage)
➥Blown fuses indicate overloading or short circuits. Therefore, the electrical system
should be checked by an authorised technician before installing the new fuse

• Electric and earth connections: When carrying out maintenance work on the electrical
system, pay particular attention to ensuring good contact in leads and fuses
• Battery charge condition and condition of battery terminals

Checking the alternator
Always observe the following instructions:
• Only test run the engine with the battery connected
• When connecting the battery, make sure the poles (+/-) are not inverted
• Always disconnect the battery before carrying out welding work or connecting a quick
battery charger
• Replace defective charge telltales immediately
