Saving the IP Address in the Print Server
Print Server Installation Manual 4-9
This permanently saves the entry in the ARP table; in other
words, the entry does not expire and remains valid until the
next time you turn on the UNIX computer.
2. Turn the printer off and back on.
3. Check whether the print server is available via TCP/IP:
Syntax: ping <host name>
Example: ping SB0001FF
4.3.4. KYOCERA Printer Operating Panel
With all KYOCERA printers with the exception of the FS-400,
FS-600, FS-680, FS-1000, and some of the elder models, you can
enter the IP address directly into the printer operating panel and
save it in the print server.
In addition to the IP address, you can also change other parameters
using the printer operating panel.
The procedure varies depending on the printer model and the
control panel. Please read the "Configuring Parameters Using the
KYOCERA Printer Operating Panel" section on page B-14 of the
User Manual if necessary.
Operating panel settings will not be saved in the print server if a
password has been assigned.
