7-2 Print Server Installation Manual
7.1 Basic Principles
Network printers are integrated into BS2000 networks via a direct
TCP/IP connection. Via TCP/IP ports, the print data can be
transferred from the spooler to the KYOCERA-PrintServer. For
this purpose, you must configure the port number. In the process,
you also set up a port and enter the port number. With BS2000
systems, the TCP/IP port 2900 is used to implement a bidirectional
socket connection.
Please read the "TCP/IP Ports" section on page 1-15 if necessary.
Procedure The installation involves the following steps:
Saving the IP Address in the Print Server
Installing a Print Server for TCP/IP
Entering the IP Address
Installing the Print Server into the RSO Spooler
Defining the TCP/IP Port
