6.4 Testing the Network Connection
There are two options available for testing the network
connection:
• ping command
• VRYCFG command
6.4.1. Testing the Network Connection using ping
Procedure Proceed as follows:
1. Enter ping without parameters at the system console.
2. Enter the IP address of the print server.
The print server sends a reply after the network connection has
been established.
6.4.2. Testing the Network Connection using VRFCFG
Procedure Proceed as follows:
1. Enter VRFCFG without parameters at the system console.
2. Enter the host name of the device description.
The print server sends a reply after the network connection has
been established.
