7.10 Adjusting the spring stabiliser
The spring stabiliser can be adjusted to suit the terrain.
In the basic setting of the spring stabiliser,
15 chain links (1) are attached.
Right hand stabilising chain
Left hand stabilising chain
Steep slope with firm
ground
Fully fold out the boom.
Lower the boom until the nozzles are at a distance of about 1 m above the
ground.
Have a 2nd person press the right hand side of the boom further towards the
ground. The load is relieved from the left hand stabilising chain (L).
Remove the bolt (3) from the shackle (2).
Position the shackle (2) on a shorter or longer length of chain.
Replace the shackle (2) with the bolt (3) onto the bracket (4)
Repeat this process with the left hand side of the boom.
Carry out a trial run.
Re-adjust the setting as necessary.
