6.3.2 Implement with compressed air brake
Risk of accident due to deactivated brakes
To enable unloading and manoeuvring without a compressed air
supply, the brake cylinders and thus the parking brake were deac-
tivated ex works by means of guiding screws.
Make sure the guiding screws have been removed prior to initial
commissioning.
Risk of injury due to spring force
The spring in the brake cylinder operates under high pressure.
The screws (6) must not be loosened.
If the screws (6) are loosened, the tensioning straps (7) will
become loose, resulting in the brake cylinder bursting open. This
may injure or even kill people.
Make sure the air suspension is activated on an implement with
an air-suspended trailer.
Loosen the nut (2) until the guiding
screw (1) is no longer spring-loaded and
is free of tension.
Turn the guiding screw (1) 90° and pull it
out of the brake cylinder (3).
Close the opening in the brake cylinder
(3) with the protecting cap (4).
