11.6.1 Explanation of the terms offset and wheel conversion
Offset
positive offset
negative offset
Dimension from the centre of the rim to the inner contact
surface of the wheel on the hub of the axle.
The offset can be specified as positive (+) or negative (-)
offset.
Positive offset indicates the smaller track width and negative
offset the larger track width.
For wheel conversion, ensure that the tyres are running in the cor-
rect direction.
Wheel conversion
The left-hand wheel is mounted in the same running direction on the right-hand
side of the implement and the right-hand wheel is mounted in the same running
direction on the left-hand side of the implement.
Alternative track width
The alternative track width results from the wheel conversion. Two different track
widths can thus be used for the implement without any changes to the axle.
Note that the free space to the implement is limited. The maximum tyre width to
the implement resulting from the limited free space is listed in the corresponding
table of these operating instructions as the maximum permissible tyre width.
The implement with one running axle may only be operated if the tare weight of
the pulling tractor is at least twice the permissible gross weight of the filled imple-
ment.
