3.9.2 Permissible weight of the implement
The weight of the implement is transferred to the road via the wheels and from the
tractor.
The following points must therefore be noted for the safe operation of the imple-
ment:
The permissible support load of the trailer coupling of the tractor must not be
exceeded.
The permissible axle load of the implement must not be exceeded.
The wheels which are used (tyres and rims) must have the same or a larger
load bearing capacity as the axle. If the load bearing capacity of the wheels is
less than the permissible axle load, the implement may only be filled to the
permissible load bearing capacity of the wheels.
The maximum permissible speed is determined by the applicable regulations
specific to the country and the wheels which are used.
3.9.3 Requirements of the tractor
The tractor must have a suitable drawbar coupling for the implement.
The tractor must have a suitable brake system, which complies with the appli-
cable regulations and the braking system of the implement.
Ensure that the tractor always achieves the prescribed braking with the imple-
ment attached.
The permitted axle loads, vertical load on the drawbar coupling, total weight and
transportation dimensions must be complied with.
The tractor must have a suitable PTO connection for the implement.
In the case of a horizontally aligned implement, there must be sufficient
clearance between the drawbar coupling and the PTO of the tractor.
The hydraulic system of the tractor must be compatible with the implement.
Suitable electrical connections for the implement must be available.
The permissible power limits of the tractor must be observed.
