11.6.2.1. RBC-deformability measurements
The red blood cells in EDTA-anticoagulated blood, diluted 1:200 in a viscous reagent (detailed in
section 2.1.2), are exposed to a user-defined shear stress (Figure 1). The deformation of the cells,
present in the gap between CUP and BOB, is measured.
