Inspection
9.
Thoroughly clean
all the
components
using
m
e
thylated
spirit
(denatured
alcohol)
or
the
10.
recommended brake
uid, and dry
with
lint-free
cloth.
Inspect
the bore
of the
casing
for
scoring
and
damage;
the complete
assembly
must
be
renewed if the bore
is
not
in
a
perfect condition.
11.
Reconnect
the
wiring
to
the
switch and
actuate
the
switch plunger,
with the
ignition
switched
on,
to test
the switch
operation
and
warning
light
circuit.
Reassembling
12.
Fit
two
new
seals, lip
facing outwards,
to
the
piston.
13.
Lubricate
the
piston
assembly with Lockheed Disc
Brake
Lubricant
and fit the
piston
into
the bore,
taking
care
that the lip
of
the leading seal
is
not
turned
back.
14.
Fit
a
new copper
washer
to
the
end plug,
screw
in
and
tighten the plug
to
the
torque
gure
given in
‘GENERAL
DATA’.
15.
Screw
in
the switch and
carefully tighten
it
to
the
torque
gure
given in
‘GENERAL DATA’.
Refitting
16. Reverse
the
removing
procedure
in 1
to
4,
ll
the
Ma.4
master
cylinder
with the
recommended
uid
(see
‘GENERAL
DATA’) and bleed
the
system
(see
Section
M.4)
commencing
with the
rear
brakes.
