CHARGING
SYSTEM (GHN4

Cars)
Description
The
12-volt NEGATIVE-earth
charging
system
consists
of
an
alternator
and
a
voltage regulator supplying
current to
two
6-volt
batteries
connected
in series.
Diodes
contained within the
alternator
provide rectication
of
its
output
current
for
battery charging
and also
prevent
reverse
current
ow. These
and other
design
features
_
overcome
the
necessity
of
a
cut-out
and
current
regulator.
