the

spring,
until the
latch
release
lever
just
contacts
its
stop,
then
tighten the
control
unit
screws.
If
the
control
unit
adjustment
is
restricted
by the
securing
screw
slots,
enlarge the
slots
by ■ling.
With the
latch
in
the
closed
position, check
the
operation
of the
latch
release
handle.
The
striker
should
be
released
before the
handle
has
reached
the
full
extent
of
its
movement.
Fit
self-tapping
screw.
With the
latch
in
the
closed
position
set
the
locking
latch
rearwards
to
the
locked
position.

position
of
the
screwed
pivot
on
the
lock

so
that
the
locking
latch
overlaps
the
latch
release
handle,
the
pivot
pin
fits
freely
into
its
bush
in
the
locking
slide,
before
being
pressed
into
the
spring
clip.
Check
the
operation
of
the
lock
mechanism
as
described
in Section
R.30.
Lubrication
24. Smear
the
linkages
inside the door
with
grease
and
add
a
few
drops
of thin
oil
into
the
key
slots.
IMPORTANT.—Key
locks
must
not
be
lubricated
with
grease.
