Reverse the
procedure

Ignition
starter
switch and
steering lock

the lock body
over
the slot
in

outer
b.
column
and fit
the clamp plate,
but
do
not
shear the
bolt heads.

ignition
starter
switch and
reconnect
the
multi-connector
plug. Check that the
steering lock and
switch
operate
correctly.
33. Tighten
the
new
shear bolts
until
the
heads break off.
34. Reverse the
procedure

applicable,
noting
the
following:

Ensure that the
cancelling
ring
is
free
to
rotate
in
the switch
assembly.
Locate the lug
on
the
inner
diameter
of
the
switch
in
the slot
of
the
outer
steering-column.

Ensure that the
striker
dog
on
the
nylon
switch
centre
is in
line with and adjacent
to
the
direction indicator switch stalk.
(1. Ensure that
the
cancelling
ring is
free
to rotate
after
the switch
is
fitted.
NOTE:
Slacken the
screws
and
reposition
the
top
plate if
the
ring is
tight.
e.
Ensure that the
lugs of
the
steering—wheel
engage
easily with the
cancelling
ring.
