Remove the
screw
retaining
the
stay
to
the
glovebox
lid.
2. Remove
the
screws
retaining
the
glovebox lid
stay to
the
glovebox.
3.
Remove
the
screws
securing
the glovebox
lid catch.
Remove the
screws
retaining
the
glovebox.
5.
Withdraw the
glovebox.

the
screws

nuts
securing
the glovebox
lid
and
withdraw
the
lid.
Refitting

Removing
FACE-LEVEL VENTS AND ESCUTCHEON ASSEMBLY
1. Remove
the glovebox—Section Ra.3.
2. Disconnect the
air
duct hoses from the back of the
face-level
vents.
3.
Remove the
two
screws
and
retaining
strap
securing
the
escutcheon
assembly
to
the
fascia.
4.
Withdraw the face-level
vents
and escutcheon
assembly from the fascia.
FACE-LEVEL
VENTS
5.
Carry
out
operations 1
to
4.
5.
In
turn,
ease
each bottom
locating
tag
of
one
vent
inwards and
slightly withdraw the
vent
until the
tag
rests
on
the lip
of
the escutcheon.

With the aid of
a
narrow
blade
tool,
inserted
from
the
back
between the
escutcheon
and the
vent,
depress
the
two top
locating
tags.
8. Withdraw the
vent
from
the escutcheon.
9. Repeat 6
to
8 for the
remaining
face-level
vent.
Refitting
FACE-LEVEL VENTS
10.
Push
one
only of the face-level
vents
into
the
escutcheon
noting:

Ensure
that the rounded
corners
of the face-level
vent
adjacent
to
the serrated wheel
registers in
the
recess
of
the escutcheon
with the
rounded
corners.
b. The
vent
assemblies
are
marked
L.H.
(left-hand)
and
RH.
(right-hand)
on
their
aps for
correct
assembly
when
viewing
the fascia
from inside the
car.
11.
Reverse the
removing procedure
in 3
to
4
ensuring
that the
escutcheon
assembly
is
fitted
with the
serrated wheels
uppermost.

Push
in
the
remaining
face-level
vent
into
the
escutcheon
noting operation

the

the
