Removing
l.
Withdraw the
centre
console
to
give
access
to
the
heater
controls,
see
Section
R40.
2.
Remove
the heater
control
knob,
press
in
the retainer
clip
using
a
small
pin
through the
hole
in
the
knob.
3.
Remove
the heater
control
securing
nut.
4.
Withdraw
the
control
from the
centre
console.
5.
Slacken the
outer
cable retaining
bracket
screw.
6.
Slacken
the
inner
cable
trunnion
screw.
7.
Withdraw
the heater
control from
the
cable
assembly.
Refitting

8. Reverse
the
procedure
in
1
to
7.

Removing
1.
Slacken the
outer
cable
retaining
bracket
screw on
the
water
heater valve.
2.
Slacken
the
inner
cable
trunnion
screw.
3. Disconnect the
cable assembly from the
water
heater
valve.
4. Withdraw the
centre
console
to
give
access
to
the
heater
temperature
control,
see
Section
R.40.
5. Slacken
the
outer
cable
retaining
bracket
screw.
6.
Slacken
the
inner
cable
trunnion
screw.
7.
Withdraw the
cable assembly from
the heater
temperature
control.
8.
Feed
the
cable
through the
bulkhead
and
remove
from
the
vehicle.
Refitting
9. Reverse the procedure
in
1
to
8.
MGB.
