IP Single Line Adapter (IP SLA)
In addition to the two built-in single line ports on the Inter-Tel 5000 Base Server, single line
endpoints can be connected to IP Single Line Adapters (one per IP SLA); to SLAs connected to
DEM-16 modules (two per SLA); and, to Single Line Modulesfour per SLM-4 or eight per
SLM-8.
Single line endpoint users can access applicable endpoint features by lifting the handset and
entering a feature code. Other features are accessed using a combination of a hookflash and a
feature code. For details, refer to the System Features chapter in the Inter-Tel 5000 Features
and Programming Guide (part no. 580.8006).

operation of an IP SLA, see “Installing an IP SLA” on page 5-175.
