Four-Port Loop Start Module
The four-port loop start module (LSM-4) supports four CO [local exchange] trunks. The LSM-4
functions the same as the LSM-2. For complete installation instructions, see “Installing a Four-
Port Loop Start Module (LSM-4)” on page 5-42. For programming refer to Inter-Tel 5000
Features and Programming Guide (part no. 580.8006).
Basic Rate Module
The Basic Rate Module (BRM-S) provides Basic Rate S/T interface ISDN service for
communication and is available only in the Inter-Tel Europe market. Each of the two BRI ports
consists of two bearer (B) channels and one data (D) channel with High-level Data Link Control
(HDLC) support. Each BRM-S module in the chassis supports a total of four BRI trunks.
The ports provide full I.430 ITU S/T ISDN support for trunks (TE mode), but does not support
stations (NT) mode. The BRM-S does not support video conferencing or BRI devices and
endpoints.

Only one SLM-4 can be installed in an Inter-Tel 5000 Base Server.
The Single Line (SL) application installs as a part of the Inter-Tel 5000 Version–Release suite of
