Chapter 5: Installation
TFTP Server Configuration Example
Inter-Tel
®
5000 Installation Manual – Issue 2.4, May 2008 Page 5-143
2. Configure the following settings. An example is shown on the previous page.
Base Directory: To DB programming, this is the TFTP server root directory. DB
Programming will look here for the information configured in the TFTP Pathname
field in DB Programming. In the example on the previous page, DB Programming is
going to look for files in C:\TFTP\current.
Global Settings: TFTP Server. For example, this is the TFTP server running on
this computer.
TFTP Service: Standard.
3. Advanced TFTP Options:
o Show Progress Bar: Displays file transfer information.
o Use Tftpd32 only on this interface <IP address>: This should match the IP
address for the computer on which the Inter-Tel CS-5200, CS-5400, or
CS-5600 system files are located. In the example above, DB Programming is
set to this same field so that the system knows to locate the files it needs at
this IP address.
o Translate UNIX file names: Without this checked, the operation will fail.
4. Click OK, then restart the TFTP server application. The TFTP server must be running
before you attempt to upgrade the Inter-Tel 5000 platform.
