Using Reset Input
Connect a bit of the output word to the Unit’s reset input terminal. If reset input is ON, the input word will be set
to BBBB (i.e., the factory-set setting of the input word). Take the following steps to set the input word to BBBB.
1,2,3... 1. Turn reset input ON.
2. When BBBB is set to the input word, turn reset input OFF.
3. If BBBB is set to data other than the input word, let the Unit read the data.
4. Repeat the above steps.
Timing Input and Reset Input
When the timing hold is not set to normal or sampling hold, timing input to the Unit will work as gate input, in
which case reset input to the Unit will work as follows:
1,2,3... 1. If timing input is turned OFF while reset input is ON, the present scaled conversion data will not
be effective and BBBB will be read as the present scaled conversion data.
2. The Unit will sample and process input from the moment reset input is turned OFF to the moment
timing input is turned OFF, in which case, while the reset input in ON, BBBB will be read as the
present scaled conversion data.
3. The Unit will sample and process input from the moment reset input is turned OFF to the moment
timing input is OFF, in which case, input from the moment the timing input is turned ON to the mo-
ment reset input is turned ON will not be effective.
4. The Unit will ignore timing input while reset input is ON.
